Academy History
2017: The Foundation
Aquability Academy was established in 2017 by Captain Mohamed Hussein, a visionary leader
with a passion for empowering individuals with special needs through swimming. The academy
was born out of Captain Mohamed’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive
environment where children and adults with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum, and other
disabilities could develop their skills and confidence in the water.
First Branch - Abu Dhabi
The first branch of Aquability Academy was launched in Abu Dhabi, utilizing the facilities at Al
Jazira Club. This location quickly became a hub for specialized swimming instruction, offering
state-of-the-art, air-conditioned, and covered swimming facilities designed to provide a safe and
comfortable environment for participants.
Expansion to Dubai
Building on the success of the Abu Dhabi branch, Aquability Academy expanded its reach by
opening a second branch in Dubai at Al Shabab Al Ahli Club. This new location mirrored the high
standards of the Abu Dhabi branch, featuring similar facilities and a team of highly trained and certified instructors.
